Florida Wine Academy, a WSET Approved Programme Provider, based in Miami, is pleased to announce a partnership with Coravin™.
Coravin was launched in 2013, and it uses patented technology to access and pour wine from a bottle without pulling the cork. Wine enthusiasts can enjoy wine sealed with corks without feeling the need to commit to the whole bottle, allowing them to explore wines of any vintage, varietal or region, one taste at a time.
Sharp-eyed clients can nowadays spot Coravin in restaurants, wine shops and wine schools across the country, including Florida Wine Academy. Coravin Inc has become the latest organization to support the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) as a Bronze Corporate Patron. Its system is a must have for wine lovers and collectors, granting a much-needed access to precious and rare bottles that, up until now, were one occasion only item. The system works by accessing the wine through the cork with a very thin needle. The wine that remains in the bottle continues to evolve naturally, and it can then be enjoyed later since it was never exposed to oxygen.
Florida Wine Academy is offering Coravin for sale, with a special 5% discount to its students, and will use and demonstrate the system during its classes. Students can benefit from the system when having to taste different wines for an exam and not wanting to open multiple bottles. Florida Wine Academy will sell Coravin models One, Two and Eight Wine Systems. Prices range from $199.95 for Model One to $299.95 for Model Two.
