Alessandra Esteves & John Caignet (Jolt Radio).

A few weeks ago I was a guest on Jolt Radio in Miami to talk about wine and to present Florida Wine Academy. In this one hour program, John Caignet, the founder of Jolt Radio, and Flor Francis, my publicist at Raygun Agency and the host of Too Much Love Radio Show, asked me a series of questions about wine, and we did a very enjoyable music and wine pairing.

I talked about how I decided to found Florida Wine Academy, the type of classes we have in Miami for wine lovers and wine professionals, and also we talked about different wine styles and the various countries that produce wine.

Music and Wine Pairing

For the music and wine pairing, Flor chose the song list, which ranged from Paco de Lucia to Rolling Stones. I had the difficult task pairing each track with a matching wine. What a fascinating exercise!

And here is the Music & Wine pairing list:

+Paco de Lucia – “Entre Dos Aguas” to pair with a Spanish Tempranillo Reserva wine.

+The Chemical Brothers – “Galvanize” to pair with a German Dry Riesling wine.

+The Rolling Stones – “Miss You” to pair with a Bordeaux Grand Cru wine. A classic wine for a classic rock music.

+Bob Dylan – “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” to pair with a sweet dessert wine, such as a Sauternes from France, Tokaji from Hungary or Vin de Constance from South Africa.

Would you agree with this wine pairing? It was an amazing experience, and I look forward to doing it again! If you missed it, you could still hear it on our MixCloud channel. Pour yourself a glass of wine and listen to the entire program here:
