Located in northwest Italy, Piedmont is a region known for its elegant and expressive wines. It is home to some of the most iconic wines in Italy, including Barolo and Barbaresco, made from the Nebbiolo grape. The region also offers a variety of styles, from the vibrant Barbera and Dolcetto to refreshing whites like Gavi and the aromatic sweetness of Moscato d’Asti.
In this class, we’ll explore Piedmont’s rich winemaking tradition and its diverse range of wines. You’ll taste and discuss the unique characteristics of each wine, learn about the region’s renowned vineyards, and understand what makes Piedmont a benchmark for quality in Italy.
Alessandra Esteves, DipWSET, Director of Wine Education, will lead the class.
