For the artisans behind Dassai, the goal is simple: to craft sake that will “brighten your life”. The pursuit of this humble goal began in the 1980s, in a remote mountain village in western Japan, when the Asahi Shuzo Company decided to focus its efforts on producing high-quality sake, and the Dassai brand was born. Since this pivotal moment, the master brewers have used only one variety of top-quality rice (Yamada-Nishiki) to craft this Junmai-Daiginjo grade sake – the most super premium category in existence.
In this unique and unforgettable event, we will offer you the opportunity to taste the fruits of their endeavour, by tasting Dassai Beyond (a $600 bottle), together with Dassai 23 and a lineup of other high-quality Dassai sakes.
Guilherme de Macedo, MBA, MSS, WSET Certified Sake educator will lead the tasting.
