Many of the world’s wines are ready and meant to be consumed soon after release.  Then there are the other wines, those which can and do improve and evolve over time in the bottle.  In this lab we will discuss what makes a wine fit for aging and how aromas and flavors can develop over time.
To experience these mature wines we will taste the following:

  • Indigenous Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 2014
  • Champagne Louis Roederer Brut Nature 2009
  • Beronia Rioja Gran Reserva 2010
  • Chateau Cantemerle Bordeaux Rouge 2012
