What goes better with sushi, wine or sake?  How about when pairing with cheese?  Many wines and sakes are incredibly versatile when it comes to food and wine pairing, so how to choose?  Come join us on September 24th at 7pm to determine which of your favorite beverages you should pair with your next meal.

This tasting is will not only be an opportunity to learn, but also a friendly competition.  Participants will taste 4 different wines and 4 different sakes along with the following foods: sushi, cheese, deviled eggs and mushroom arancini.  Each pairing will be guided by our wine and sake experts, partners, husband and wife Alessandra Esteves DipWSET and Guilherme de Macedo MSS, who will explain how and why the wines and sakes are impacted by each pairing.  You will then have the chance to cast your vote for your favorite combination.

We will taste the following wines/sakes:

– Champagne Perrier Jouet Grand Brut vs. Hakkaisan Clear Sparkling Sake
– McKahn Family Cellars Viognier 2019 vs. Kirinzan Classic Futsu-shu (magnum bottle)
– Bodegas Ostatu Rioja Rosado 2019 vs. Amabuki Gin no Kukerai Junmai Rose Sake
