On Wednesday, July 8 at 6pm Florida Wine Academy will welcome back Mark Davidson, Head of Education for Wine Australia, Americas.  Joining us is another very special guest, Michael Hill Smith, MW.  Mr. Smith is a Master of Wine, an international wine judge and co-founder of Shaw + Smith in the Adelaide Hills and Tolpuddle Vineyards in Tasmania.  He was the inaugural winner of the Madame Bollinger Tasting Medal and is current Co-Chair of both the Decanter World Wine Awards and Decanter Asian Wine Awards.  In 2008 he was awarded an Order of Australia for his contribution to Australian wine.

During this Wines of Australia webinar Mr. Davidson will provide an overview of Australian Shiraz and the different styles of wine this varietal produces.  Michael Hill Smith will discuss his Shaw + Smith Shiraz, and participants will have the opportunity to compare this Adelaide Hills wine to a Barossa Valley Shiraz, seeing firsthand the diversity of the country’s signature grape.
