I recently completed the WSET Level 2 course from the Florida Wine Academy. The course was excellent: it was well organized, profiled very high quality wines, and was a great preparation for the exam. The instructors were knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and their passion for wine education shined through. I would strongly recommend this course for those who seek to learn more about wine, or advance their career in the wine industry. I will be taking the Level 3 course with FWA as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed the WSET Level 2 Course at the Florida Wine Academy. The course was fabulous: extremely well organized, comprehensive, and a lot of fun. The choice of wines was superb. The preparation for the exam was excellent, and it is no wonder that they have such a high pass rate. Greatly appreciate the enthusiasm of Alessandra and Guillherme. They have built an outstanding company.

After completing WSET Level 1 I continued on with the Level 2 course with Florida Wine Academy and was not disappointed in any way. It was a great course throughout, both informative and thoroughly enjoyable, perfectly matched by excellent accompanying wine selections. Thanks to Nicole and her fellow instructors I was well prepared for the exam and succeeded in passing with distinction. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Florida Wine Academy to anyone interested in learning more about wines.

THE WSET 2 Florida Wine Academy webinar was outstanding! The instructors, content, and class interaction created for an exceptional learning experience. Nicole Ramos in particular went above and beyond to ensure we understood both content generally and as applied to wine tasting specifically.
I highly recommend The Florida Wine Academy and WSET wine webinars for anyone seeking to advance in wine education. Thank you again to the amazing Florida Wine Academy team!

Alyssa Pautauros –
Awesome educational course and very helpful instructors!! Loved the live tastings together as a group. Learning about international wine regions and unique grapes to those regions was probably my favorite part. Will be back for my wset 3!
Michael –
The Florida Wine Academy did an outstanding job coordinating my Level 2 exam. (I had taken the Level 2 course when I was living in the Northeast, but the program provider there did not respond to my requests to set up an online exam.) The Florida Wine Academy team was responsive and professional and made the process simple. I will definitely be using Florida Wine Academy again. Highly recommended!
Monica –
I learned SO much about wine in this fun and informative course. Nicole is such a patient and helpful teacher and makes the knowledge very accessible.

The team at the Florida Wine Academy were very accommodating and facilitated my participation remotely via Webinars. Nicole Ramos was an excellent course facilitator, broke down technical terms into simple language to easily understand and provided a learning environment that allowed you to ask questions, learn and understand the practical nuances of the industry. I would recommend the Florida Wine Academy for WSET exams.
Jacqueline Coleman –
I took the WSET 2 with Florida Wine Academy online through webinars, and it was just a wonderful learning experience. Florida Wine Academy has the best instructors who are incredibly knowledgeable about wine. Also, if you need to take the course online, it’s helpful that you can simply order the exact bottles you need through 305wines.com so that you can taste along with the class. It’s really a wonderful setup for the busy wine student.
Thank you to Florida Wine Academy for the opportunity to learn more and grow in my wine education!

Nicole and Alessandra have outdone themselves! Excellent instruction in the Level 2 class I took recently at the Florida Wine Academy. Both exhibit deep knowledge of the industry, the varietals and historical insights. After having taken this course, I feel more confident and comfortable talking about wines with colleagues and in the wine distributor business. Anyone looking to boost their understanding about wines for their job or if they simply want to be more informed, you must take this class. I for one will now sign up for Level 3 which is set for later this year. In short, the Florida Wine Academy provides you with all the tools and real life examples that make the class more enjoyable!
Krista Garramone –
I recently took the Level 2 intensive course with Alessandra and Nicole. It was a fantastic course, a ton of information in two days but I definitely came out on the other side feeling substantially more informed and experienced after that short time! Both Nicole and Alessandra were extremely knowledgeable and engaging. I would absolutely recommend Florida Wine Academy to anyone interested, they have a wonderful atmosphere that I enjoyed learning in.

I recently completed the April 2018 WSET Level 2 intensive course with Alessandra & Celeste. It certainly was intense, but manageable if you truly study all the materials in advance, and it was fun, engaging, and extremely helpful in committing the complex information to memory. Alessandra and Celeste taught with a lot of enthusiasm and expertise, and they executed the course very well. The environment was welcoming and comfortable and the discussion and tastings were excellent. I left feeling very good about what I’ve learned and confident in my ability to navigate wine lists, wine aisles, and continue my education to break into this industry. I highly recommend Florida Wine Academy for anyone interested in learning more about wine. While I don’t live nearby, I will be looking to travel to attend their future classes and courses!
Alexis Garrison –
So very thankful that Alessandra was my teacher she was a patient, thoughtful and eloquent instructor. Her courses were put together with careful thought, not only Alessandra but also her husband were amazing. Very high praises for the Florida Wine Academy.

Can’t recommend this course enough. Loved it! Two years ago I took a Sommeliers Course in Miami Beach, but didn’t get much from that, as they were disorganized with the method. Everything was really cloudy for me still. When I took this class with Alessandra everything made so much sense and I finally understood from the tasting part to the text book part. And everything you learn actually sticks with you. It’s an amazing course and Alessandra and William are great hostess! Can’t wait to take Level 3!
Garrett Koolman –
I highly recommend this course, I have already recommended this course to many people in my field! Extremely glad I took it, it helped link all the information I already had and took it to a new level.
Maria Polanco (verified owner) –

I highly recommend Florida Wine Academy if you are interested in taking the WSET courses. Alessandra and Guilherme are very professional and dedicated to helping students learn to appreciate and understand the scents and flavors, and describe what is in front of them. I have a much better understanding but am eager to learn more and can’t wait to take WSET Level 3 in a couple of months.

Take all your classes from Alessandra — who could write the book “How to teach so people remember”. She makes info interesting, makes sense of the sensations, and trains you to taste like a well-trained pro. Great for both trade veterans and avid collectors who want to fill in their gaps or leap to the next level. South Florida collectors should stay alert to Florida Wine Academy.
Jacob Molz –
WSET Level 2 is my second course completed with Florida Wine Academy – and it won’t be my last. I’m signing up for WSET Level 3 right after I finish this review. And, you should too. Alessandra, Guilherme, and the team are exceptional, not only as professionals but people. Don’t invest your money anywhere else. Stop wasting time and start tasting wine. Let’s do this!
Gianfranco (verified owner) –
Excellent course!! Is that kind of course that when you finished it you feel that something is missing in your schedule.
Alessandra and Guilherme are excellent people and professionals.
Highly recommended!!
Alex Soria (verified owner) –
My 2 biggest fears about educational courses – the quality of the teacher and the difficulty of the subject matter. If there was a rating higher than 5, I’d give it to Alessandra at Florida Wine Academy. The WSET level 2 course is very well put together and anyone interested in learning about wines should take it. Alessandra created a warm, welcoming, and comfortable environment. Her wine knowledge is impressive but not intimidating. Florida Wine Academy is a great resource for the Miami wine scene and I highly recommend taking the WSET courses with Alessandra.
Jose Irias (verified owner) –
