Miami Champagne Week 2026: Celebrating 10 Years of Champagne in Miami
Miami Champagne Week 2026: Celebrating 10 Years of Champagne in Miami
Our biggest Miami Champagne Week yet! Over 180 guests, six events, five days, and some of the world's most exceptional Champagnes.
The 10th edition of Miami Champagne Week, organized by Florida Wine Academy, took place October 19–23, 2026, bringing together Champagne lovers, wine professionals, producers, and industry experts for five days of tastings, masterclasses, and unique culinary experiences.
This year's celebration was our biggest ever, welcoming over 180 guests across six events. We explored everything that makes Champagne special: its terroir, history, grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and incredible diversity of styles.
And, of course, we enjoyed some fantastic wines!
Day 1: Champagne Trade Seminar and Smash Burgers & Grower Champagne
Champagne Trade Seminar with George Staikos
We opened Miami Champagne Week with an educational seminar for wine trade professionals, presented by George Staikos from the Bureau du Champagne USA.
The session offered an opportunity for members of the Miami wine industry to deepen their knowledge of Champagne, its appellation, production methods, and current developments.
Education has always been at the heart of Miami Champagne Week, and starting our 10th edition with a trade seminar was particularly meaningful.
Smash Burgers & Grower Champagne at 305 Wines
On Monday evening, we kicked off the consumer events with one of our most fun tastings: Smash Burgers & Grower Champagne at 305 Wines.
The event was sold out, with guests enjoying delicious burgers prepared by Street Twist, music by DJ Al, and a selection of outstanding grower Champagnes.
The lineup included:
-
Moussé Fils L'Esquisse Extra Brut
-
Vilmart & Cie Grande Réserve Brut
-
Champagne Gaston Chiquet
-
A surprise Champagne magnum
We explored the wines of smaller, family-owned Champagne producers, highlighting the personality and individuality of grower Champagne.
And yes, Champagne is an excellent pairing with burgers! Its acidity and bubbles balance the richness of the meat and cheese.
It was a fantastic evening and the perfect way to begin the week.
Day 2: Fleur de Miraval Rosé Champagne Masterclass
Tuesday evening was dedicated to Fleur de Miraval, the Champagne project created through the collaboration of Brad Pitt, Famille Perrin of Château de Beaucastel, and the Péters family of Champagne.
We welcomed Alexis Blondel, Assistant Winemaker at Fleur de Miraval, who traveled to Miami to guide our guests through an exceptional tasting.
The lineup included:
-
Fleur de Miraval Réserve Perpétuelle
-
Petite Fleur
-
Fleur de Miraval ER3
-
Fleur de Miraval ER4
-
Fleur de Miraval ER5
One of the highlights was the opportunity to taste two vins clairs, or still base wines, brought directly from Champagne. Guests tasted them blind, gaining a better understanding of the components that contribute to the final blends.
Fleur de Miraval is particularly interesting for its approach to rosé Champagne, with a strong emphasis on Chardonnay, freshness, and elegance.
It was a wonderful opportunity to explore several releases side by side and understand the evolution of this distinctive Champagne project.
Day 3: La Nuit Blanche with Nicolas Feuillatte at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne
Wednesday evening brought us to the beautiful Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne for La Nuit Blanche, our elegant white party dedicated to Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte.
Dressed in white and silver, guests enjoyed an evening under the stars, tasting a selection of Nicolas Feuillatte Champagnes.
Clément Renaud guided the experience, introducing the wines and sharing insights into the Champagne house and its winemaking philosophy.
The evening began with Champagne served from an impressive 3-liter bottle, setting the tone for a memorable celebration.
With the ocean nearby, beautiful surroundings, and excellent Champagne, La Nuit Blanche was one of the most glamorous evenings of Miami Champagne Week 2026.
Day 4: Champagne, White Truffles, and Leclerc Briant
Thursday's event was one of our most intimate and exclusive experiences: Champagne & Truffles with Leclerc Briant, held at a secret location in Wynwood.
Only 14 guests joined us for this private dinner, featuring fresh white truffles from Alba, Italy, among the first of the season.
The evening brought together the exceptional Champagnes of Leclerc Briant and the truffle expertise of TartufLanghe.
Our Champagne lineup included:
-
Leclerc Briant Réserve Brut
-
Leclerc Briant Réserve Rosé
-
Leclerc Briant Blanc de Blancs Millésime Extra Brut 2018
-
Leclerc Briant Blanc de Meuniers 2018
-
Leclerc Briant Abyss 2019
The wines were paired with a specially prepared menu featuring truffle delicacies, Fassona beef tartare with freshly shaved white Alba truffles, white truffle risotto, and other beautiful dishes.
Leclerc Briant Abyss 2019 was one of the highlights of the evening. This remarkable Champagne undergoes part of its maturation underwater, offering an interesting perspective on Champagne aging.
Special thanks to Cassidy Stiebing and the team at XXI Wine & Spirits, Barbara and Cecilia from TartufLanghe, and Chef Alexis for making this experience possible.
The combination of exceptional Champagne, fresh truffles, and a small group of passionate guests made this dinner truly memorable.
Day 5: The Great Clos of Champagne Masterclass
We closed Miami Champagne Week 2026 with one of our most ambitious tastings ever: The Great Clos of Champagne.
This masterclass explored some of Champagne's most famous clos, enclosed vineyards that produce wines with remarkable individuality and character.
We tasted eight vintage Champagnes, including legendary single-vineyard wines and rare releases from some of the region's most respected producers.
The Champagne lineup
-
Krug Clos du Mesnil 2006
-
Bollinger Vieilles Vignes Françaises 2009
-
Philipponnat Clos des Goisses 2002
-
Billecart-Salmon Le Clos Saint-Hilaire 2009
-
Pommery Clos Pompadour 2003 (Magnum)
-
Lanson Clos Lanson 2007
-
Leclerc Briant Le Clos des Trois Clochers 2017
-
Doyard Clos de l'Abbaye 2018
Each Champagne offered a different expression of its vineyard, grape variety, vintage, and winemaking philosophy.
One particularly special wine was Bollinger Vieilles Vignes Françaises 2009, produced from ungrafted Pinot Noir vines growing on their own roots in two tiny enclosed vineyards in Aÿ. These rare vines preserve an important part of Champagne's viticultural heritage.
We also compared exceptional Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs, explored the influence of different vintages, and discussed the extraordinary aging potential of Champagne.
From the legendary 2002 vintage to the complexity of mature Champagnes, the tasting demonstrated just how diverse and fascinating this region can be.
It was a fantastic way to conclude our 10th anniversary celebration.
