The first course, WSET Level 1 Award in Wines, takes place April 25 and will offer FIU students and alumni accessible, structured wine education with special tuition pricing available. Florida Wine Academy has signed a three-year agreement with the Comité Champagne to become the official Partner Centre in Florida for Champagne education. Beginning in 2026, the Academy will offer the “Champagne Specialist: Understanding and Recommending Champagne’s Wines” certification program, authorized by the Comité Champagne. The training will be led by Alessandra Esteves, DipWSET, FWS, SWS, CSW, who also holds a Champagne Master Level certification from the Wine Scholar Guild. This new partnership aligns with the Academy’s commitment to Champagne education, including the annual Miami Champagne Week, now in its ninth edition. Course dates will be announced in early 2026.
