Champagne Specialist Course Coming to Florida in 2026
Florida Wine Academy is proud to announce a new partnership with the Comité Champagne, the governing body of the Champagne region in France. Beginning in 2026, Florida Wine Academy will become the official Partner Centre for Champagne education in Florida, offering the prestigious “Champagne Specialist: Understanding and Recommending Champagne’s Wines” certification program.
This exclusive course, created and authorized by the Comité Champagne, will provide an in-depth understanding of Champagne’s vineyards, production methods, and service techniques. Upon completion, students will receive the official Champagne Specialist Certificate, recognized internationally by wine professionals and enthusiasts alike.
About the Program
The Champagne Specialist program explores every aspect of Champagne — from the history and terroirs of the region to the methods behind blending, aging, and serving. Participants will gain valuable knowledge to confidently recommend, sell, and serve Champagne in both professional and hospitality settings.
Led by Alessandra Esteves, DipWSET
The course will be taught by Alessandra Esteves, DipWSET, FWS, SWS, CSW, and Champagne Master Level graduate (Wine Scholar Guild, 2014). Esteves shared:

Our mission has always been to provide world-class wine education, and this partnership allows us to expand Champagne training at the highest level.”
Coming in 2026
