The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses have long been a gold standard in wine education. But have you heard of the WSET Level 1 Luxury edition? Offered exclusively by the Florida Wine Academy, this is a course that redefines luxury in wine education. We have designed this course specifically for small groups of 10 people, ensuring an intimate and elevated learning environment. Every detail, from the teaching approach to the wine selection, is curated to offer a luxurious experience.

Class Format

The course is a one day, in-person course that will take place from 9am to 4pm.

Assessment (Optional)

Assessment is by a closed-book exam of 30 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 45 minutes. The assessment will take place at the end of the day. A total mark of 70% is required to achieve a pass. All students who pass will be issued with a digital certificate and a digital lapel pin.

Kindly note that you have six months, from the course start date, to sit the exam. After six months, you will have to purchase and re-take the entire course before you can sit the exam.

What is included

The price includes the WSET Level 1 in Wines Study Guide, tuition, all wines, printed materials, exam, certificate and lapel pin (if you pass the examination). Mailing of Study Guide and result materials (certificate and pin) to continental USA is included in the price.

For the Luxury Level 1 we will include small bites for the food & wine pairing exercise.

Entry Requirements

You must be at least 21 years of age to attend the course and to participate in any alcohol tasting. We reserve the right to stop the wine service if and individual appears intoxicated. Please have a designated driver or use Uber/Lyft.

We need a minimum of 8 people to conduct the class.

Refunds/Changes

If you need to cancel or change the date of the course for any reason you can do so up to 13 working days before the course starts for a $25 administrative fee. Making changes to your registration within 13 business days of the class date will result in an administrative change fee of $175. No refunds are given for changes made within 3 business days of the class date.
